Rolls and rings & sleeves
Horizontal Centrifugal Cast Rolls
These rolls are bimetallic and consist of a wear resistant working layer (shell material) and a ductile iron (SG) core. Working layer (shell material) hardness ranges from 65ShC to 85ShC. Barrel dia. 600mm to 840mm.
Various Grades of:ICDP
Enhanced ICDP
HiCr
HSS
Applications of these rolls include:
- HSM
- CSP
- TSM
- DSP
- Steckel mill, etc.

Static Cast/ Monobloc Rolls and rings/sleeves
Adamite, Cast steel, Alloy Cast Steel (ACS), Graphitic steel and Nodular Iron (Pearlitic and Acicular) grades are monobloc/static cast. Hardness and microstructure requirements are achieved through careful selection of material specification and heat treatment cycles. They vary in size (weight) from a few hundred kgs to approximately 50 tons and are classified as large, medium or small. Rolls can be supplied rough or finished machined, profiled or blank.
Large / Heavy Rolls
(<10 ton final mass) (monobloc/static cast)
- Beams – H Sections, Rail sections, etc
- Roughers and Breakdown rolls
- Edgers
Medium Size Rolls
(<10 ton final mass) (monobloc/static cast)
- Medium sections / Bar / Rod Mills
- Edgers
Small Section Rolls
(<2 ton final mass) (monobloc/ static cast)
- Rod / Bar Mills
Rings & Sleeves
- Static Cast Monobloc (ACS, SBA & Nodular Grades) (400 to 1600 mm dia.)
- Vertical Centrifugal Cast (ACS & SBA up to 1100mm dia)
